Tethering and mobile hotspot

Internet tethering

Internet tethering allows you to share your BlackBerry device's connection to the mobile network with one other device, such as a laptop or tablet. You can connect the other device to your BlackBerry device using an appropriate cable or, if both devices are Bluetooth enabled, you can use Bluetooth technology instead.

Additional charges might apply for using Internet tethering.

Mobile hotspot

When you use the mobile hotspot feature, your device becomes a wireless access point for up to five other Wi-Fi enabled devices to connect to and access the Internet.

The mobile hotspot feature requires the use of the mobile network. You might incur additional data charges while using mobile hotspot.

The mobile hotspot feature can use a lot of battery power. For the best performance, plug your device into a battery charger when you use mobile hotspot.
