Protect your SIM card with a PIN

You can use a SIM card PIN to prevent unauthorized use of your SIM card in another device. For example, if you lose your SIM card and someone tries to use it in another device, the SIM card can't be used unless the PIN is entered correctly.

You can request the PIN for your SIM card from your service provider.

  1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap image Settings > Security and Privacy > SIM Card.
  3. Turn on the SIM Card PIN Lock switch.
  4. Type the SIM card PIN that your service provider gave you.

CAUTION: If you exceed the number of allowed attempts to enter the SIM card PIN, your SIM card will stop functioning. To unblock your SIM card, contact your service provider.

Change your SIM card PIN
