Mobile hotspot

When you use Mobile Hotspot mode, your BlackBerry device becomes a wireless access point that other Wi-Fi enabled devices can connect to and access the Internet using your mobile network connection. Up to ten devices can connect to your mobile hotspot at one time, depending on your device model.

Mobile Hotspot mode requires the use of the mobile network. When you turn on Mobile Hotspot mode, if your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network, your device turns off the Wi-Fi connection. You might incur more data charges while sharing your network connection using Mobile Hotspot mode.

Mobile Hotspot mode can use a lot of battery power. For the best performance, plug your device into a battery charger when you use Mobile Hotspot mode.
